Ingrown toenails are one of the most common reasons people see a podiatrist. If caught early, conservative treatment — gently lifting the nail edge and advising on correct cutting technique — is usually sufficient. For recurring or more severe cases, partial nail avulsion (PNA) is a minor in-clinic procedure carried out under local anaesthetic. It permanently removes the problematic nail edge, with a very high success rate and minimal recovery time.

Other nail conditions treated include thickened or involuted nails, fungal nail infections, nails affected by trauma, and nails requiring specialist care due to reduced mobility or other health conditions. Search below to find a nail care specialist near you.
